The Lapierre Family

Sometimes, you have a shoot where everything goes wrong.  Your equipment breaks. Your subject is less than willing to be photographed.  This was one of those days.  Working with children is always unpredictable, especially when it’s very young children.

When we arrived at the Lapierre’s home (late, thanks to Google maps), our backdrop stand wouldn’t extend.  Elsa, being only 20 months old, was none too happy to be photographed, despite our bribery of fruit snacks.  Lori, who is due with daughter #2 on 11/26, was infinitely patient with the both of us. Thankfully, we’ve learned to roll with the punches and still managed to pull off some great pictures of Lori and Elsa.

Chris is your average 13 year old guy – likes sports and video games, and HATES being photographed.  Since Chris is only a few weeks away from getting braces, we got some great fall shots of him pre-metal mouth.  Even though he’s our son, we’re not being biased when we say these turned out fantastic!

The Kolbs

Kris and Chris are a really fun and unique couple, so it makes sense that their wedding would be the same, right?  This wedding did not disappoint – the combination of pink and orange made for a striking color palette, and the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus made for an unusual wedding location, providing some funky and fun backdrops.  The bride was gorgeous, as were the table settings – even the food was beautiful!  The night was capped off by a performance from local Columbus favorite, The Fabulous Johnson Brothers.  Overall, an extremely memorable night on so many levels, and we were pleased to be a 2nd shooter.  Congratulations to the Kolbs!

Shirt10Tees

We don’t normally do commercial photography work.  We like capturing people and places more than objects.  But every once in a while, a fun opportunity crosses our path and we jump at the chance!  Shirt10Tees is a startup clothing company local to Delaware, Ohio, specializing in tshirts with witty, sometimes off-color sayings.  When they approached us about taking some product shots, we were thrilled to provide them with some modern, fun shots of their product being worn by their models.  We had a gorgeous fall day, and the shoot turned out way better than boring old photos of tshirts.  We wish them success in their new venture!
